Christianity in Ghana is diverse and has evolved over the years. some ten 20 years ago the charismatic wave swept through the christian circles and it has come to stay. so in every coner now out of every 10 sign post you will find at least 5 churches in accra.
many have said that as they spread they should be made to pay taxes since they are totally out of the tax net. this debate has been raging on for the past 6-8 years. but i doubt it would ever be law. it may be good generally for the corresponding increase in population and also add variety in worship.
the traditional catholic, presby, methodist and anglican are also loosing members. this has resulted in them also adopting charismatic methods to make it more attractive especially to the youth.
